Mega is the only child of the mating between Crown Princess Uru and Kipendo, born after the white lion's death. Unlike many before him, Mega does not dream of one day being King -- he adamantly hates the idea. For him it is a restriction of his dreams and longings, as he wants to explore far beyond the farthest reaches of his kingdom, and so he takes it upon himself to rid himself of the chains of duty that weigh him down.

When he becomes teenage, he abdicates the throne and leaves his kingdom, not caring that he leaves a huge hole in the line of succession, nor what that will mean Uru will have to do to cover for his mess. He gathers together a great pride of rouges and exiles and together they form the Wanderer Pride, which roams Africa and does not have any set land to defend. In his later years, Mega feels deep regret for his actions, but since he still has no interest in being King, he refuses to return to his home -- not until word reaches him that Queen Uru has passed on, and he realizes that he never got to reconcile with her, or even to say goodbye.

**EDIT2: I redid the colors for his mane and eyerings a tad. So that they're less vibrant and clashy with his fur. The rest of his fur got washed out by Daddy's white genes, so why didn't his mane and eyerings? Made no sense, and it was... wonky. Thus, I edited it to fit better. What say you?

Mega gets a revamp, in color and picture (ORIGINAL). I used the book colors for his coat/mane/etc., and then made "movie colors" for him -- but I chose the eye color, as his eye color was not shown. [Trust me, I have the actual physical book itself, and his eye color is impossible to determine]

**EDIT** Please note: whether the lion who appears in the book, THIS LION, is Mega or Leo is a matter of opinion. I say its Mega, as the description matches him: "an old lion with a full mane". Yes, Leo has lines later in the book, but since ALL the animals of the kingdom gathered to "comfort" Simba and Nala, this does not mean the lion in the picture is Leo. Also, having two lions of similar coloration (Simba and the other yellow lion), would be confusing to children.

Others say this lion must be Leo as Leo laughed at Kopa in the story, but the story says ALL the lions were laughing -- so even though it is not explicitly stated, Mega was laughing too. Whether you believe he is Mega or not, I don't want to argue or debate, and I don't want links sending me "proof". I believe the written word over the pictures -- just look at Ahadi. Apparently the illustrators of the books didn't ever read the stories, so in point of fact, neither of these lions may be Mega or Leo. So there is no "proof" either way, and no "right answer". You do it your way, I'll do it mine, and we'll both agree to not harass each other on it, mmmk? :3

ALSO -- feel free to use these "movie" colors" for your own Mega if you wish. I would appreciate credit, but I won't bug out on you if you don't. I'll just stare at you sadly with hurt eyes. XD
